Dear Directors, Supervisors, Members, and Esteemed Industry Colleagues, I sincerely appreciate your support and trust, which have given me the opportunity to serve as the Chairman of the Chinese Association of Engineering Consultants (CAEC). It is an immense honor to take on this role, and I fully recognize the great responsibility it entails. Over the past two decades, our predecessors have worked hard to lay a solid foundation for the CAEC through their dedication and professionalism. Looking ahead, I am committed to carrying forward this spirit, strengthening our Association, enhancing the well-being of our members, while at the same time contributing to our national development.
With over 40 years of experience in the engineering industry, I have been able to gain much insight into the needs and challenges faced by the engineering firms and technical consultants. To name the five most pressing issues: increasing service fee rates, securing reasonable professional liability insurance, establishing liability caps for damages, proposing revisions to the procurement regulations, and promoting local content in offshore wind projects. Moving forward, I will work closely with the Public Construction Commission and relevant authorities to advocate for policies that foster a more favorable business environment. Additionally, I remain fully committed to supporting our industry in addressing various concerns and striving to bring about meaningful improvements.
As we embark on this journey together, I look forward to collaborating with all our Directors, Supervisors, and Members. Through our collective wisdom and efforts, we will strengthen our Association as a steadfast pillar of support for the entire engineering consultancy sector. I warmly welcome your guidance and suggestions, as your input will help drive innovation and progress in our field. Together, let us create a brighter and more prosperous future.
